It was a privilege to attend the World Day of Prayer Global Meeting via Zoom on Tuesday 16 December 2025. 27 countries were represented which included a questions and answers session following Mama Uche’s talk on how the Nigerian WDP Committee had gone about putting the service together.

The Committee received great support and expertise from those who had produced WDP services in the past. Appreciation and thanks were given to those who had been tasked with travelling thousands of miles to the different Zones in Nigeria gathering information about the challenges and problems in their country. The representative Committee were very thankful for the opportunity to present WDP from Nigeria in 2026. During the meeting ‘Come Unto Me’ was beautifully sung for us.

The picture on the front of the booklet was by Gift (page 22). She explained the three women wearing head ties (gele) represented the three major groups in Nigeria - Yoruba (green), Igbo(red) and Housa (white). The WDP Services will be celebrated all over Nigeria from gatherings of hundreds right down to very small groups!The session ended with enthusiastic support for the way Nigeria had put their WDP Booklet together.
